Buoy that looks better!

The buoy at Stoke Bridge Wharf, Ipswich has been in the same spot for years and was due a fresh coat of paint and its environs an update. As part of that refresh, we were asked to design new graphics to give it a cleaner, clearer look while keeping it appropriate for its long-standing role on the waterfront. Our focus was on something practical and robust that would sit comfortably in its surroundings and stand up to the elements.

The repaint formed part of wider landscaping works led by AREA Landscape Architects, who oversaw improvements to the area. Once the new graphics were finalised, they were hand-painted by Wayne Tanswell, who we recommended, having previously commissioned him eight years ago for Bombay Shave. His experience and attention to detail ensured a solid, long-lasting finish.

It was a simple, collaborative job, and we’re pleased to have helped give a familiar local feature a much-needed refresh.
